The interactive audit portal is designed to enable interested hotels to carry out a self-audit using a number of checklists, which should be worked through and completed before any application is made for an inspection by an assessor. The structure and content are identical to the checklists used by the assessor.

By working through the respective audit criteria independently, the aim is, in particular, to enhance understanding of the Safehotel-Stars requirements. This enables hotel management to assess the criteria relevant to fire safety within their own establishment. Furthermore, the aim is to ensure that any measures necessary to achieve the Safehotel-Stars certification can be identified and implemented in advance. In this way, the success rate in the assessor’s audit can be increased and, ultimately, follow-up inspections avoided.

The system can be tested without obligation. Hotel staff can register free of charge to save the checklists.
