The Safehotel star is awarded subject to the following conditions
- Compliance with the requirements set out in lists M, B and S, with a maximum permitted deviation of 2 points in each case (96–100 points)
- Achievement of a total of 300 points
- Compliance with the following core requirements:
Early smoke and fire detection
E.01 – Wireless interconnected smoke detectors and internal alarm system in every guest room
or
E.02 – Hotel partially equipped with automatic fire detection and alarm system
or
E.03 – Hotel fully equipped with automatic fire detection and alarm system
Reception constantly staffed
E.84 – Fire-trained staff (1 person) available at all times
or
E.85 – Fire-trained staff (2 persons) available at all times
or
E.86 – Fire-trained staff (3 persons) available at all times
Good fire safety management
M1 – Responsible person for fire safety appointed
M2.1 – Fire safety register available
M3.1 – Emergency plan available
M4.1 – Annual fire safety instruction for all staff
M5.1 – Standard evacuation drill carried out
M6.1 – All existing technical fire safety systems and equipment are serviced regularly
M7.1 – Regular ‘fire risk assessment’ carried out
